The small differences in styles and stats were less important to me. I prefer lots of brown so Chosokabe was one good choice for me. In Gekokujo I just like to pick a faction by a color scheme I like. Hands and feet are just mail but that isn't bad. The shields are awesome as infantry but can't be used mounted so are worthless for use by cavalry after quitting. The main armor displays your own heraldry once you quit and become a lord which is cool. They have good helms and the hammers are nice. I dont like the barrel helms because of the crosses but I think the guard helms look very nice and let you see the character faces and I don't care that much that they have less armor points. The black armor matches the banner I usually pick - white stag head on black field. I prefer the infantry tree to the famous Swadian Knights mostly for cosmetic reasons.
They can get morningstars or various swords too but I may choose other weapons.
They also have pretty good helmets and shields. They can have some good armor that I like including a black coat of plates, iron greaves, and gauntlets. In the standalone Freelancer mod with the Native troop trees I like to progress down the Swadian infantry line to become a Swadian Sergeant. In the Freelancer mod or in other mods that use it such as A Clash of Kings, Warband Enhanced, Gekokujo, or others what is your favorite troop line to advance in and why?
